Ooh La Lacquer is a new to me brand and was sent to me from a friend! :) (She sent me 3 so be on the look out for 2 more posts in the near future!)
I automatically fell in love with the polishes Ooh La Lacquer has to offer. A majority of them are holographic polishes and you know me . . . ;) HOLOOOOOOOOO!!!! *runs in circles*
Tonight on the blog I have one gorgeous holographic from Ooh La Lacquer to show you! This one is called "Hella Good." (Mmmhmmm love the name too).
Hella Good is a minty bluish green linear holographic polish. All of Ooh La Lacquer's polishes are 3 Free - Does NOT contain Formaldehyde, Toluene, or Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP).
The above is another shot where I was standing under my bedroom light fixture (no flash!) just in case it decided to be a cloudy day again. (Good news! It was sunny for the first half of the day and I was able to snag lots of holo-y goodness!)
SEE?! Pretty gorgeous!
I used 3 coats of polish to achieve this look, but I think you can get away with only 2 coats. I was unfortunately trying to polish over some nasty stains which still won't come off my nails from a previous pink polish I reviewed a week or so ago. Application was wonderful and I found the formula fantastic. Dry time was fairly quick as well!
Now for a few more sun shots!!
You can purchase some gorgeous Ooh La Lacquer polishes on her etsy site. Most run $10 for a full size bottle. (Which is fabulous because there is sooooo much holo packed into these babies I would have expected them to cost more! Lucky us!!!) I just checked and it does not look like Hella Good is listed on the site currently, but I'm sure it will be back soon!

Vapid Lacquer Grape Stomp
Caution: the polish in this blog post may cause high heart rates, distraction from EVERYTHING and will most likely cause the reader to slip and fall in LOVE with it!
You have been warned! ;)
I used one of Smelly Goods & Pretties/Vapid Lacquers' amazing sale codes during a restock to purchase this gorgeous . . . no MAJESTIC beauty. I could not resist. Need reasons?
1. It is purple.
2. It is HOLO!
3. The name is Grape Stomp and I love wine, so how could I not?
4. It is HOLO! (Oh did I already mention that?)
Plus so many other reasons but now I'm just blabbing on too long and you are wondering where the pictures are!
Grape Stomp is a purple jelly polish that is packed (literally!!) full of linear HOLO (wooohooo *dances*) Although I haven't had the pleasure to see Grape Stomp in the sun, I believe the polish description when it says "This polish GLOWS in the sun!" You will see why later on in my post!
Grape Stomp is a 4 Free (no toloune, DBPs, formaldehyde or Camphor), and Cruelty Free polish.
I used 2 coats of polish to achieve this look and topped it with Vapid Lacquers' Quick Dry Top Coat! Coverage is great and dries so smooth and quick! It is no secret that I am in love with every polish that comes from Krys' brand. LOVE LOVE LOVE! This one did not disappoint either!
Ok, so unfortunately I was not blessed with a sunny day today. (It was rainy and cloudy and a very gloomy day). I thought I would have to use flash to show you the gorgeous holo that is packed in Grape Stomp, but all I needed was to stand under my bedroom light. :)
Are you ready? Remember I said you might fall in love. . . You have been warned. ;)
Are you sure you are ready?
OK OK!
WOWZA! I am so excited to see Grape Stomp in the sun! (Tomorrow's forecast says mostly sunny!!!!) I will post a sun shot on my Facebook if the sun cooperates!
Grape Stomp is available for purchase on the Vapid Lacquer bigcartel site for only $9.50!
P.S. From now until midnight tonight there is a code for 30% off because Krys is celebrating an anniversary today with her hubby! Code is: 319HAPPYDAY

Gothic Gala Lacquers Somethings F*cky
Tonight on the blog I have another polish from Gothic Gala Lacquers to show you! I had been drooling over this gorgeous teal holo for months and finally took plunge and bought it. Friday I had a get together with my girls (Dirty Bingo Party) and I felt the name of this beauty to be quite appropriate to our silly theme. :) (You will see why towards the end of the post!)
This is Somethings F*cky. Somethings F*cky is a linear holo is a teal creme base. The formula is great. It goes on smooth and dries pretty quick. I used only 2 coats to achieve this look. Again, as in previous posts about Gothic Gala Lacquers, I really love the shape of the bottle and the long wand!
I was able to catch a sun shot! Check out that holo! I love it!
Above is a shot using flash for comparison. :) So sparkly!
If you are a fan of holo and teal colors like me, then you should go check out the Gothic Gala Lacquers Etsy page and take the plunge too! It is only $8.50 which is quite the bargain compared to some brands that charge up towards $12-15 for the same quality of polish.
Now if you were wondering what a Dirty Bingo Party entails. . . here you go!
Every girl you invite should bring a wrapped gift. Either naughty or nice. I wrapped my gift in the LUSH bag. Just FYI it wasn't from LUSH. ;)
Then you play bingo. (My friend Heather made a beautiful bingo chip masterpiece for you to see!) Whoever wins gets to open a gift. The next person can either steal the gift or open a new one. Anyway. . . this night is sure to have lots of laughter! It is always a blast. :)
If you are wondering what I won. . .
Pretty impressive for a wine stopper eh? ;)
Until next time my lovelies!!!!!

Colores De Carol Afro Pink and Holo Blast
In my last post I told you that I had won a giveaway over at Taneja's Bride recently and was sent 3 polishes from Colores De Carol. I saved these two that I won in a separate post since they are both holographic polishes. (You know how much I LOVE holo!)
The first polish up to show is Afro Pink!
Afro pink is a bright magenta crelly holographic polish. All colors by Colores De Carol are 3 - Free (not including those nasty chemicals Formaldehyde, Toluene, and Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP)).
Application was wonderful, quick to dry and only needed 2 thin coats of polish! The color is rather beautiful and had me staring at my nails all day especially in the sun.
Absolutely gorgeous sparkle!
Even Nova likes the sparkle.
There was only one problem with this polish. . . . It is really rather tragic. :(
After one day of wear. . . Look!
Stained :( So very tragic because the color was so beautiful! I did not see anywhere on the site mentioning that this polish might stain your nails. (I did use a good base coat trust me!)
Alas, if staining doesn't bother you and you want this gorgeous pink holo, then it is available in the Colores De Carol bigcartel store for only $9.50.
I had much happier results with the next polish. It is a holographic topcoat, so first I applied a simple base color. I went with: Sinful Colors Strapped.
Then I put Colores De Carol Holo Blast on top!
Holo Blast is a holographic topcoat that can be applied to any color polish to give it a gorgeous holographic sparkle. (OMGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!! Where has this been my whole life?!)
I used one coat of Holo Blast to achieve this look. The formula is amazing and dries rather quick. Also as mentioned above, all Colores De Carol polishes are 3-Free (that includes this one!)
I am super impressed with this polish and can't wait to try it out on other colors!
Holo Blast is available in the Colores De Carol big cartel site for $10. I highly recommend buying one. . .or two . . .or 3 of these holographic topcoats!!!!!! <3
*skips off to stare at her nails* Yippeee holo!

Blizzard by Colores De Carol
I won a giveaway over at Taneja's Bride recently and was sent 3 polishes from Colores De Carol. I have never tried this brand so I was super excited to try it out!
I will be only showing one of the polishes in this blog post. I want to keep the other two together since those are both holo polishes.
Here is Blizzard:
Blizzard is a "White Shimmery Crelly (creme/jelly) base with gold and silver glitter".
I used 3 coats to achieve this look. Unfortunately for me this color turned out not to be my cup of tea. :( I really wanted it to be. I had no problem getting glitter to come out on the brush. If anything I may have gotten too much glitter. This caused some slight frustration in myself because I was trying to get an even base color.
Blizzard may not be for me but I can see it looking great on other ladies. :)
This actually reminds me a bit of Essie Marshmellow with an added sparkle.
If you are intersted in purchasing Blizzard it can be found on the Colores De Carol bigcartel site for only $9.

Ruby White Tips Spalding's Baby
Laura from Ruby White Tips did it again! She held a "name that polish" giveaway. She liked my polish name so much that she ended up making an LE (limited edition) polish for her American Horror Story line which is only available if you buy the whole set. Lucky me, Laura was a doll and sent me one since I came up with the name! (LOVE Laura!)
The name I came up with was Spalding's Baby
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Spalding^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
If you followed the latest American Horror Story season, you should be fairly familiar with Spalding's obsession with dolls. He even dresses up like one. Finally in the last episode or so. . . Spalding gets a living baby. You will have to watch to find out why and how!
Spalding's baby is a gorgeous bright pink polish, which is 5 Free and Vegan friendly!
Spalding's Baby goes on like a dream! I only used 2 coats for this manicure, however, you could probably get away with only one coat. This is another polish that looks to me like I just came from a nail salon with a fresh gel mani. Nope! It is regular (but GORGEOUS) polish!
I absolutely LOVE it!
If you are interested in purchasing Spalding's Baby, you will need to purchase the full set of Ruby White Tips - American Horror Story Collection. At $120 for 14 polishes. . . I'd say the price is a steal! If you are an American Horror Story fan like me. . . this line of polish is a MUST have!
